Margaret A. Keough serves as the Director of Marketing and Communication for Mid-America Arts Alliance which administers the Creative Forces®: National Endowment for the Arts’ Military Healing Arts Network Community Engagement Grants program. Her professional experience includes more than twenty years of museum marketing experience at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, both in Kansas City, MO. Margaret currently serves as a member of the Cultural Advocacy Group and the Legislative Planning Committee for Americans for the Arts. Keough was selected for the Getty Leadership Institute’s Next Generation program, and has served as president of the Kansas City Attractions Association, publicity chair for the Kansas City convening for the Association of State and Local History, a juror for Plaza Art Fair, and as a grant panelist for the Arkansas Arts Council and the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission. Margaret holds an MBA from Rockhurst University and undergraduate degrees in art history and in journalism, with a concentration in advertising, from the University of Kansas.
