Angela serves as the Project Coordinator for Creative Forces®: National Endowment for the Arts’ Military Healing Arts Network. Born on an Army base, the daughter of a Vietnam veteran pilot, and granddaughter of a WWII veteran, Angela has great interest in military family and cross-cultural art therapy research and practice. She brings previous non-profit program management experience, as well as creative private sector administrative support experience, as current partner with her husband in the artisan woodworking workshop Maker & Muse, and former owner of a children’s peanut butter and jelly cafe. Angela holds a bachelor of fine arts and maintains a perpetually imaginative worldview as a practicing visual artist. She brings great enthusiasm and commitment to understanding and supporting all aspects of this project using a design thinking mindset. Angela recently earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Art Therapy from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, earning recognition by the School of Graduate Studies with the Outstanding Research Award for her thesis, "A Heuristic Inquiry Exploring the Cross-Cultural Therapeutic Relationship in Art Therapy.
