Abigail Palmer, MT-BC, is a music therapist with Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and works in the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Intrepid Spirit Center/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Clinic in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She began performing professionally as a musician in 1999. She attended college at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia where she majored in music therapy while minoring in psychology and also receiving a joint degree in classical harp performance. Abigail began her career as a music therapist in 2010 and has worked in hospice and psychiatric hospitals as well as with populations with autism, dementia, Alzheimer's, traumatic brain injury, and PTSD. She currently works with active duty service members experiencing traumatic brain injury and PTSD at Fort Belvoir.
