Alexis Castriotta, MA, ATR-BC, is an art therapist with Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and works in the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. She received a BA in Art with a concentration in art therapy from the University of Tampa and also holds a MA in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College. Alexis has worked primarily in mental health settings, residential treatment centers, in-patient hospitals, and outpatient programs. Alexis has worked to empower patients to find their expressive voices, connect positively to themselves and others, and reclaim their narratives with a compassion-focused and person-centered lens. Having grown up in a military family, Alexis is honored to help support the Creative Forces mission in improving the health, wellness, and quality of life for service members, veterans, and their families.
