Brittni Cleland, MA, R-DMT, RMHCI, is a dance/movement therapist with Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and works in the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She works within various integrative treatment programs for service members living with chronic pain, post-COVID residual symptoms, traumatic brain injury and associated psychological health conditions. Brittni provides dance/movement therapy (DMT) treatment to active duty services members and veterans, which focuses on leveraging the mind-body connection to increase nervous system regulation and emotional resilience. She is a registered dance movement therapist and received her MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Antioch University New England. During this time, she was a co-editor of the American Dance Therapy Journal. Brittni received a BS from St. Cloud State University in community health with minors in psychology, athletic coaching and dance. Prior to becoming a DMT, Brittni’s background was in the health and fitness field for many years working as a personal trainer with individuals of all ages in rehabilitation and prevention models.
