Heather Spooner, MA, ATR-BC, serves as the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine Lead Telehealth Creative Arts Therapist for the National Endowment for the Arts initiative, Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network. She is a board-certified art therapist who earned a BA in Art, Psychology, and Art Therapy from the University of Tampa and an MA in Art Therapy from Marywood University. Heather divides her time between Creative Forces and the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine, where she serves on the graduate faculty and is part of the team that founded the Rural Veterans Telerehabilitation Initiative Creative Arts Therapy Project (RVTRI) within the North Florida/South Georgia VA Health System in 2014. This project has since developed a partnership with Creative Forces and expanded across seven VA medical centers. Through her role with HJF, Heather provides telehealth support to therapists across the Creative Forces and RVTRI networks.
