Jessica Herman, MA, ATR-BC, is an art therapist with Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and works in the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Intrepid Spirit Center/ Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Clinic in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She is a board certified art therapist who was born and raised in Pennsylvania and graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine art from Elizabethtown College. She received her MA in Art Therapy from The George Washington University (GW). Through her internship at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and her studies at GW, Jessica became interested in trauma and how it impacts the brain. Jessica is honored to work at the Intrepid Spirit Center as part of the Creative Forces Network since October 2016. Jessica is passionate about sharing the power of art therapy with active duty and veteran service members diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and other psychological health concerns, as well as their families and caregivers.
