Lisa M. Rainey, MA, ATR-BC, is an art therapist with US Department of Veterans Affairs and works in the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a nationally board-certified art therapist who is currently developing and implementing the Rural Veterans Telerehabilitation Initiative (RVTRI) Art Therapy Program at Roudebush. She leads virtual art therapy sessions with veterans who are referred for a wide variety of mental health diagnosis, individual art therapy sessions on inpatient units at the medical center, and group art therapy sessions at the Domiciliary. She has over 10 years of experience, specializing in art psychotherapy with various inpatient medical populations. She received an MA in Art Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lisa received two awards to support her work in art therapy from Karen Pence and Indiana’s First Lady’s Charitable Foundation, when Mrs. Pence was First Lady of Indiana.
