At Ease: Art and Nature for Veterans and the Military Community

Brushwood Center's At Ease: Art and Nature for Veterans and the Military Community empowers the well-being of military veterans and military personnel through nature-based art, music, and photography workshops. The program will be presented in partnership with local veteran organizations, the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, natural area sites, and teaching artists and musicians. At Ease is the only program in the region offering a nature-based approach to building skills in creative expression while providing veterans with access to mental health support.

Brushwood Center, in partnership with Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, will expand the At Ease program and support the improved well-being of the military community through the combined power of art and nature. The project will deepen Brushwood Center’s engagement with the Lovell Federal Healthcare Center while also extending services to more veterans and active duty personnel at the Naval Station Great Lake through a diverse offering of art, photography, and music classes, workshops, performances, and exhibitions.
