Art on the Homefront

Caregivers on the Homefront's Art on the Homefront project will provide art workshops to support the mental health and wellness of military and veteran family caregivers and their children. This project aims to promote social connectedness and reduce isolation, a common factor in depression and anxiety among veterans and their families. The participants will create art together, forming bonds with others in similar situations, and gain resilience through each other's stories of hope. The workshops will be led by a local art teacher and available in person and virtually. This program will provide a space where participants can feel safe and not judged while reducing anxiety through the calming effects of art expression.
