Colorado Photographic Arts Center, in partnership with the Veterans Arts Council at VFW Post 1 in Denver, will present the Veterans Workshop Series. The program is a free, six-month experience that provides veterans in Colorado with instruction and resources to develop a professional photography practice. Through workshops, mentoring, and critique events, veterans create a series of photographs that tell a personal story. The program culminates in a public exhibition at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center and a published exhibition catalog. Launched in 2017, the program has helped more than 60 veterans express their ideas through photography, connect with other veterans and Denver’s broader arts community, and exhibit, publish, and sell their work at a professional level.
