HELP USA, in partnership with Materials for the Arts and Lehman College, will present Creative Forces Community Engagement: Art Allies. Art Allies will be a new component of HELP USA's Art of Resilience program, building on existing weekly open art studio opportunities offered at HELP Hollis Garden apartments for veterans, their partners and spouses, and fellow residents. Art Allies will offer monthly structured art education opportunities and community field trips to museums, concerts, and plays. The program will provide meaningful and therapeutic opportunities for self-expression and enrichment. Group activities will promote learning and social interaction among residents helping to mitigate feelings of isolation and low self-esteem.
